FAQ's
What is a referral agent?
A referral agent holds a valid real estate license and earns income by referring buyers or sellers to active, full-service agents—rather than managing listings, showings, negotiations and closings themselves.
Who can become a referral agent?
You’re eligible if you hold a Florida real estate license (active) and you want to:
-
Earn commissions without paying MLS/association fees,
-
Step back from full-time sales,
-
Generate leads while enjoying more flexibility in your life,
-
Relocate out of state but keep your Florida license,
-
Pursue another career while leveraging your real-estate knowledge.
How do I earn a referral?
It's easy! When you join Golden Link Realty and you come across anyone looking to buy or sell residential or commercial real estate, simply go to the submit a referral page and send in your referral. The referral can be someone looking to buy or sell anywhere in the world. We will then connect them with a top agent in their market who will handle everything from there. Once the transaction is closed, Golden Link Realty will receive the referral commission and then send a check to you. Click here to see an example.
Do I still have to pay MLS fees?
No. In our model you refer and earn — you’re not maintaining listings, doing showings, or paying for MLS. This allows you to keep a low overhead while still being able to make money with your Florida real estate license.
Does the status of my license matter?
Yes — to receive referral commissions, you must maintain an active Florida real estate license. If your license becomes inactive or is surrendered, you will no longer be eligible for referral earnings through us.
Can I have another job?
Yes — our program is built for flexibility. You may hold a full-time job, run a separate business, work part-time, or pursue other passions. We have designed this in a simple for you to easily earn extra income on the side.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $19.99/ month or $199/year. Please visit our Plans & Pricing page for full details. The aim is for you to have minimal overhead so you can focus on referrals, not fees.
What types of real-estate can I refer?
You may refer:
-
Residential property sales,
-
Commercial property transactions,
-
Investment-property deals,
-
New-construction projects,
-
Referrals outside Florida (domestic or international).
-
If you’re working with leasing (rentals) or other specialized transactions, contact us and we’ll discuss how it fits into the program.
Do I have to live in Florida or in the real-estate market of the referral?
No - one of our strengths is that you can live anywhere and refer prospects anywhere in the world. We have agent partners in many states and international markets who handle the transaction locally.
How quickly will I get paid once a referred deal closes?
Once the transaction closes and a referral fee is paid to Golden Link Realty, your share is then paid out promptly - typically within a few business days. You’ll receive an email notification when your payment is sent.
How long do I have to stay with Golden Link Realty?
As long as you like — you could partner for one month or 30 years. There’s no obligation to remain if your goals change; you’re free to come and go as you please
What if I want to return to full-time real-estate sales later?
That’s absolutely fine. Many referral agents return to active sales after pausing. If you return to full-time sales, we’ll still honor earnings from referrals submitted while you were with the program (and which close under our agreement).
How does Golden Link Realty ensure the agents I refer to are top-quality?
We vet all our participating agents rigorously based on performance metrics, licensing verification, reputation in their market, and transaction-history. Our goal: protect your reputation and make sure every referred client is connected with a reputable and trustworthy professional.
